Wilson, Marks, Henderson aren’t playing this year even if they enrolled in January. Literally does not matter. Stop changing the narrative. You said 5-7 didn’t make it. 2 didn’t make it. 2 will be on campus in 2 weeks. They’ll both be there before start of fall camp. And neither are grey shirts. Wtf are you even talking about

The concerns were very much valid. There was obviously more to the story, but the optics were terrible. That was not just reflected by us. Media outlets were also concerned. Did it all end up working out to some degree? Yes. But this is a fvking message board and this is what we do. We dive into every nuance.

Losing JJ only hurts because of his talent. He wasn't playing anytime soon unless injury occurred. The days of stacking QBs on a roster are gone. We lost Steele, but still have 3 quality corners in the class. Black and Hammond hurt. I'd say Black the most because we need talent at LB in the worst way. Our o-line recruiting seems like it will make up for the loss of Hammond.

The point of summer b is to get into S&C before fall camp.

They will be enrolled in classes in two weeks, on full scholarship rides. You need to look up what a grey shirt is. You clearly do not understand. Grey shirt is not even being enrolled for an entire semester. Not taking classes til winter. This isn’t even remotely close to what is happening.

They can participate in fall practice, which they will make it in time for.

Again....Im not in the know on this but I believe it was his test scores, not his grades holding him back. If you bomb the ACT/SAT you're not going to tank History to go from a C to an I to have to redo the last semester of High School when its the standardized testing scores that are the issue. Coming from JUCO, you get a waiver on those so long as your GPA is above whatever

The test scores and grades make a matrix, so if grades are higher, test score can be lower.

The problem with "coming from juco" with respect to UF is you must have a 2 yr degree, w some Florida specific requirements and pass a CLAST test. You cant come back after a year, like some universities allow.

Seems that most worries about this situation revolved around depth at OL and WR in the next couple years.

With the WRs qualifying and Wilson likely joining as well, those fears for the future can be put away regarding those position groups. It sucks they may miss some development in preseason but if the staff can continue coaching guys up in spring and next fall, these dudes will close the gap if they have the talent and be ready when we really need them.

Great news about Black if true. He and Gervon running the show together will be fierce.

Ultimately, if Black arrives next year, we may only lose three from the class. Two to “off field stuff” and one to academics. AR is coming and we’ll also keep our DBU standard up so I’m not sweating JJ or Steele.

Barring any police incidents we seem to have stumbled thru summer about as well as could be hoped considering where things stood two weeks ago. Fingers crossed.

Now let’s get back to recruiting safeties and defensive tackles!!

lol cry me a river J. I didn’t wait until the end. Feel free as a mod to go back and see how often I’ve posted about it. Act like a damn adult and stop flailing your arms at the first sign of any adversity. This board is famous for posters constantly ending up covered in shyt for hyperventilating way before any resolution on any matter involving gator sports. It was clear from day one there was work to be done and guess what? It ended up all fine. The day they say then can’t make it would be any normal human beings time to freak out.

So just like being 10-3 and top 10 recruiting class and these kids getting in, it’s really weird how those three things some seemed to be so against until they happen. That’s not being high and mighty. That’s called support until anger is warranted.
