Few things to address.

1st....Arian Smith and UGA.....its a 3 way tie right now between us, UGA and Bama.....staff feels confident and its not close to being over and will likely go up until NSD
Interestingly, On Rivals he’s 3* & on 247 he’s a top 100 4*.

That's why you can't look upon the ratings like it's the word of God. they're fun but well, they can be misleading. That being said, he's very speedy 10.3/100m, he blocks punts and kicks, great for end arounds, oh yeah he's a pretty decent WR. Did you see him play safety? He brought the wood!

Apparently the Canes Rivals site was pretty confident that Wingo was still interested...I guess he wanted to put those rumors to rest...we got ourselves a good one guys

If he looked good at camps vs top competition, he may get moved up by rivals. They adjust about once or twice a semester. They dont change rankings every two weeks even when no one is playing or camping just to create clicks.

Has there been any more noise about Sav'ell Smalls? I believe there was something about him wanting to visit. At one point Williams seemed to want in and is committing the 20th still, I believe.

Couple of questions for you recruitniks:

1. Williams didn't have Miami in his published top 3 when he announced his commitment date. Are they really the frontrunner? If so, does this mean Florida, LSU, and Georgia were all slow playing him in the hopes of getting someone higher up the board or did Miami legitimately beat out all three schools?
2. If Florida is slow playing him do you think it is because we legit don't think he's as good as his rating or we are waiting to see if we can snag Smalls, who I think is objectively better than Williams?

Yes....like never wrong kind of friend....I usually know when we are getting a guy shortly after the staff finds out!

Soo...I actually think hiring Frey for an off the field role is a good idea
I would not mind him and Hevesy splitting the OL coaching duties down the line. Let Gray coach all DBs and let go of the safeties coach. Supposedly Greg Frey is a good recruiter.

Ummmmm kay. Like they were the last two years?
If we keep what we have now (minus a couple of lower-end processee types) and sign 26-27, with 16-18 4*s and 1-2 5* types, that would probably be good for a top 5 finish - maybe better. I'm not saying that I'm expecting that to happen, just what being "over the moon" would have to look like. I will of course remain steadfast regardless, but giddy delight don't come easy.

You know, Ive been hearing we plan on signing 28-32 and finally get our numbers to 85 since 2011.

I will believe it when I see it.

I didn't say 28-32, and the 26-27 I did postulate was a hypothetical projection that served to establish a baseline number that could possibly result in an "over the moon" final class. I too will believe in an "over the moon" class when they all qualify, report, and actually stay long enough to see the damn field. Just sayin'.
