I agree with that. I was PISSED we lost to Kentucky and Missouri last year. I thought that was a terrible look for the current staff. But remember mus**** lost to Georgia southern. That’s how down we were. Believe me I’ll be the first to criticize Mullen if we don’t improve this year. I just want to wait and see before I decide he’s not the guy. It’s a waiting game for me

Nothing much to disagree with there, as far as it goes. But it's best to remember that there are real issues that will have to be addressed if we are to advance to the next level in anything like an orderly manner. I do not yet believe the worst, as it pertains to the "DM is doomed and all is lost narrative." But there are problems with recruiting that continue to retard the program that must be corrected - or all the gloom and doom will be for real and we will find ourselves at UT level, forever awash in futile mediocrity. That's not a prediction mind you, but it is a possibility that can't be ignored. There are some who might argue that we're damn near there already, just sayin.'

We're sitting at #12 right now with only 10 of the Florida top 100 while FSU has 15 and Miami has 13. We have 1 top 100 recruit (barely) and are only leading with 1 other top 100 (EJ Smith #95). That just not good enough.

Those of us who knew coaches, knew CDM wasn't much of a recruiter before he was hired and we said so at that time. What you do when you have a capable coach who can't recruit is:
1) Get him good facilities to show off ASAP;
2) See that he gets a full set of non-coaching assistants:
3) See that the budget for assistant coaches is sufficient to hire coaches who can both coach and recruit.
If these things aren't done, or are done poorly, then note it and complain with complete legitimacy.
What isn't legit is waiting two years and then mewling like a whiny, teen aged bytch that (surprise, surprise!) he can't recruit.

There isn't much difference between the 4+* star guys and the 5*, statistically by any measure, all conference, NFL draft etc. (These are 6.0 or 5.9 on Rivals.)

There isn't much difference between the 4- guys and the 3+ guys, either. This is where we are living. Up there is where we need to be. (These are 5.8 or 5.7 on Rivals)

And we never need to be in 3-* land again (Buttersville-- 5.6 or 5.5 on Rivals).

@JCTow this is sage advice as far as sleep goes. We too have twins (18 YOAs). I quickly learned after they were born why sleep deprivation is an effective means of torture. Good luck.
