Why are we fighting amongst ourselves so much? We're all Gators and football season is about to begin with a big W over archrival Miami.

We should be happy. No?

Well, we've so successfully ensured that nothing about the program leaks out that there is veritably zero build up. We don't see practices. We don't get many interviews. We don't have pre-season hype events. I'm not sure the SID exists anymore, or perhaps they are going going out of their way to treat it the same as gymnastics and baseball.

It's like football doesn't exist anymore, which is probably by design.

I think moving the game up actually has simmered interest, not increased it as one would assume.

It feels foreign for sure. It’s like playing Lsu at the end of the year and then twice in a row at home. I’m a throwback and dislike change. Opening day is supposed to be Labor Day weekend against a nobody, at night. I also don’t like being nervous until at least week 2, ideally 3. The whole thing just feels bizarre to me. I’m sure it will seem more like game week by Friday, but not now.

It's not necessarily playing a quality opponent in week 1, it's playing a week early practically by ourselves with only one other D-1 game. Strange vibe.

MLB has spring practice; NFL has preseason games; but college football does little to build fan interest. If the NCAA wanted to build fan interest it could mandate so many open practices and so much access to coaches and players, still leaving plenty of time for closed practices to allow coaches to install special plays, etc. But, of course, we are convinced that our staff (Butters, Chump, whomever) can out scheme their staff that we want as many closed practices as possible. SMH.

Man, just a couple of years ago everyone associated with the program were prancing around talking about kicking in the door at Atlanta and offensive Butteriffic explosion pending, new Spurrier and all that horseshyt.

There is nothing now.

I think the problem is pretty simple. We don't have much to betch about. Honestly, we should be really good this year. Recruiting and facilities are another subject but we're gonna be good this year.

I think everyone knows that this could be a really good season. But we have been burned the last 10 years so we are a little humbled now

Agree and don't like it....couldn't put it into words when someone at work ask me what I thought about the game. It just doesn't feel right.
