Feleipe Franks’ status

If an nfl team will draft dumbazz Drisktard, someone will draft Feleipe, probably highly. He has a cannon (likely the biggest arm at the conbine) is huge and fast,w a decent QBR and who threw for 2500 yards vs SEC defenses in a run first offense.
100% he’s still certainly to be drafted. Injured or not. For NFL scouts. The intangibles are there. Daniel Jones when 3-5 in acc play. It’s a different ball game. It’s easier to build around a QBs intangibles in the NFL when you’re not recruiting and paying. One would think Georgia would have got it right by now. Oh wait...

Likely gone, but I think it's a smart move by him to state publicly he's possibly leaving. Lots of people start discussing it and maybe talking to him through back channels. He's got nothing but time right now, so why not? Could be the best thing that ever happened to him.

I never ever want to see any player get hurt, regardless of how I feel about their playing ability, so I hope FF heals to 100%.

With that said, it is no secret that I openly said and hoped he would leave after last season's bowl game. Yes I know he had improved, but I personally thought he still had so many deficiencies that he would never be the type of player who could play at a high enough level to get a D-1 team to the top. I thought he would benefit by going 1-AA or lower and improve his skills. I also thought that would open up a lot of time for EJ. Even with an open competition, had FF not been the starter, I think it would have been hard on him to be a backup. Fast forward, I think if he wishes to play football he would benefit from a transfer to a lower division level where he could play immediately. I wish him success.

Will Trask even come back next year considering he’s already graduated? Franks seems to be headed towards the grad transfer/baseball route. Disappointing, but he should do what he thinks is best for himself.

Assuming he makes it through the year, he could be a 2nd round pick. He has the size and the accuracy.

If he transfers, he will be picked up based of intangibles alone.....I know this statement will earn some dislikes, but I could see WiLLLLLLLie luring him to Tally for a final year of eligibility.

IN-tangibles? He doesn’t have a single intangible. He has less important tangibles like height, weight, live arm. It used to be that someone in NFL would always fall for a big arm. Maybe one will, but most know football intelligence, accuracy and a serviceable arm wins over a big arm every time

Daniel Jones is opposite of FF. Jones is smart with average arm. FF does not excel in the mental side of the game but he has a cannon arm.

Best for all parties. No reason to create a controversy for us with the way Trask and Jones are playing. And while he didn’t have a great start to ‘19, he was able to redeem himself and end his UF career on a high note after last season, getting and helping us get revenge on Lsu, Usce, Mich and fsu.

Really hoped it would work out and his story would be a better one. But it may have ended about as well as was actually possible. Wish him the best.

Jeff George played for years with nothing more than a cannon arm, "dumber that dirt" was one of his nick names.

My biggest worry is Emory Jones leaving. would he be willing to sit another year? Would he try to get immediate eligibility elsewhere? We better play him alot

He did. Favre was like that when he came in, too. The problem for FF is that it isn’t 25 years ago. I just don’t see him adding any value in the NFL, but nobody in the NFL is asking my opinion.

There can be zero doubt anymore that Franks is and always has been about himself.
I absolutely do not see it this way.

He should do what's best for himself, as well as what's best for the University of Florida.

Him moving on would probably be best for all parties involved, especially him.

I think 2nd round is a little high in this years draft. Greir who is a far superior prospect was a 3/4th rounder in last years schit qb draft.

My wish is for the young man, who left everything on the field for our Gators, to finish his degree and get drafted high enough to play for a good long while in the league. Felipe Franks is a Gator and I don't want him to wear any other uniform in college.

Hope that they all stay. The more experienced QBs on the squad, the better.

There is zero chance he comes back to, at best, re-enter a battle with Trask and maybe more importantly, Jones. I would agree under different circumstances. And this isn't a knock on him. But he's not the guy, at this stage of his career, that will be ok sitting on the bench. Not to mention he's likely not 100% until Fall camp at the earliest. As I said, he can leave with his head held high for his role in what appears to be a rebirth of the Gators. Coming back to maybe get a shot, maybe not, maybe underwhelm again, etc. makes no sense.
