It's time for Trask to play an entire game without getting yanked

I don't want to see Emory Jones on the field for a single play next week, even if we're up 80 in the fourth quarter. Let Trask play an entire game without yanking him out. Had we done this last night, we're all in a much different mood this morning.

Trask is good enough that I would actually be excited about him coming back next year, ASSUMING that Mullen would actually let him play QB and not insist on the option. I'm not holding my breath.

Discuss.

I scream at the tv every time he drives the field throwing darts just to get yanked once we hit the RZ. Makes me want to puke.

The switch to Emory in that one drive cost us the game imho. Stick with the hot hand especially when we are going blow for blow offensively with no defensive help. Mullen needs to stop trying to amuse Emory.

This wasn't meant to bash Emory, as I like him. However, this is Trask's team. What he has done under the circumstances is remarkable. He plays behind a terrible line with no running game to help him, and he's completely unflappable.

In an offense built around his skills, he could have a monster season. It's a crime that he's forced to run the option when he doesn't have to and it yanked out of a rhythm so that Mullen can run "his" offense. Is it more important to run your offense or win the damn game?

He's simply a far better QB than anyone thought possible. Hell, I think he's a lock to get drafted now, and we would have laughed our asses off at that possibility a year ago. In fact, I think he could get drafted higher than Franks.

Mullen is trying to do the same thing he did with Leak and Tebow in Tebow's freshman year. Emory is no Tebow.

I don’t mind mixing him in certain situations. The drive he got the ball first and went three and out then the play before trask int were bad times to do it.

EJ should have been in on the last two goal line plays of the game frankly since Mullen was determined to run it.

If you aren't going to play Trask for an entire game and let him do his thing, then SIT HIM the entire game and play Emory. Playing both has to stop.

Mullen would love to sit Trask, but he knows it wouldn't be popular right now, probably because Trask is our best pure passer since Grossman. He is flat-out desperate to run that crap option, so he can win "his way".

Every lineman on that team should be put on notice that their jobs are up for grabs next year. Not a single one of them is anywhere near NFL caliber and subpar for SEC LOS. How man GD times did we have to watch a 6'4" QB basically go up for a rebound to catch a high snap from Buchannon last night, and he did it ALL night. Never made an adjustment.

We've been saying it for years, really since chimp left that we have to do a better recruiting job on our LOS both sides. We saw the results of what happens when you fail to do that year after year. I don't give a fk about DB's or DE's from this point until we get our int D-line and total O-line improved.....PERIOD!

Ask for Mullen and his QB switching, he absolutely blew it putting EJ in the game on our own 25 yd line during that critical stretch. I don't know what the hell he was thinking but I do believe that he will make things hard on Trask in the offseason because of his RPO, QB running offense that he so desperately wants to run.

And I'd be the first one calling to can his azz. There aren't alot of Tebows running around that can run his offense anymore...in case he hasn't noticed and, not to be living in the past, had SOS been calling plays last night we would have hung 50+ on that sorry ass defense.

Had Spurrier had a guy like Trask, he would have been a Heisman contender. Trask really is that good, and will only get better with more experience.

Dan is using EJ to try and run the football behind a very poor O line. Trying boost the running game so we can use some clock and let the D catch their breath. I dont mind switch QBs as long as we take some shots down the field w EJ and not be so predictable. Go Gators

I would almost be okay if he subbed every other play and coached in between, but he pulls Trask when he is hot, puts in EJ for two blown up plays (because the OL) then puts Trask in to bail him out....... and I believe Trask was slow before a knee injury......... kid has guts though.

when EJ goes in he has to have a more balanced pass/run ratio.....

What our D didn't need a rest. A kick in the butt, but a rest?

Or maybe just putting Trask under center, getting in the I-formation, and handing off to someone. We might be amazed what happens.

He just isnt going to adjust the offense. Just complete stubbornness that his way should work if Trash just runs harder.

Hell, he isnt even going to remove DeLance, it appears. You know, senior and all.

I love how you still call him trash....it’s quite amusing at this point.
