Bama sure is paying a bunch of money to make the defense fall apart. Wish we had that benefit.

Are we supposed to lust after this garbage like we do every other loser in the transfer portal?

It’s interesting that the rumor I am hearing is completely different. I heard that the “personal reasons” is a smokescreen for a third failed drug test.
As we know, the way drug testing works is: 1st fail= 1 game, 2nd fail = 3 games, 3rd fail = dismissal.
I am not saying This is accurate but the fact that he was suspended for 3 games already for “personal reasons “ certainly is consistent with the process and the student privacy laws force the schools to camouflage these issues.

Obviously I don’t really care either way I just thought it was interesting how quickly LSU announced a “dismissal “ and labeled it “personal reasons.” Typically schools don’t dismiss players for personal reasons, instead players leave the team for personal reasons.

Would be odd to "dismiss" a guy with mental health issue as well. Would seem pretty callous and be really bad optics.

Not for nothing but Burrows is probably the best transfer player I can remember in decades.

Burrow is having a great season, but go look at what Justin Fields is doing at Ohio State, Jacob Eason at Washington, and Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma. All comparable.

So every once and awhile even an old guy like me is right
Now three weeks later LSU decides to tell the truth about a player being “ dismissed for personal reasons “ is nothing more than the typical failed drug tests.
As I mentioned I appreciate the impact of student privacy laws prohibiting the school from full disclosure but I don’t see how those laws give a school the authority to blatantly lie about this whole situation. LSU could have said that he was dismissed for “violating team rules “ and been done with it but apparently the complete lack of integrity in that program hinders their ability to simply tell the truth.

I will assume that the next time LSU fires a coach the press release will read “Coach XX has decided to walk away from a seven figure job for personal reasons.”
