Logic seldom comes into play. Alabama and Saban always get the benefit of the doubt and will be picked for the Sugar Bowl over Florida, IMO. I think the CFP will drop Bama from #5 to 8 or 9. Minnestoa will drop behind us and we'll be ranked #10, behind Bama & Penn. State as the highest ranked 2 loss teams. I expect UF to go to the Cotton Bowl to play the highest ranked non-P5 team - Memphis or Boise St.
You are right about Georgia probably going to the Sugar if they lose to LSU, which would put Bama in the Orange, leaving us in the Cotton. If LSU beat GA bad;ly I could see the Bulldogs dropping below Bama, but wither way Georgia and Alabama will get the Sugar and Orange Bowl bids unless Georgia upsets LSU and both of them make the playoffs. In that case, Bama would get the Sugar and we would get the Orange, more than likely. The only point I was making about Penn St. is that they are still going to be ranked ahead of Florida, IMO. I don;t care where they go because it has nothing to do with UF, unless we somehow get bumped down to the Citrus where we would p;lay a Big 10 team. You are forgetting about GA unless they upset LSU. I would think they would be a lock for the Sugar Bowl with a loss. Penn St going to the Rose won't affect where we go.
Prepare yourself now for us not being in the NY6.You are right about Georgia probably going to the Sugar if they lose to LSU, which would put Bama in the Orange, leaving us in the Cotton. Kind of ironic if you're right. Last year we had losses to Kentucky and Mizzou - not exactly "quality losses" and at home mind you - and we were in the NY6. This year our losses were away from the Swamp to two teams currently ranked in the top four.Prepare yourself now for us not being in the NY6.
Well the AP and Coaches poll dropped Bama behind us. The Committee would be crazy not to also.
Dumbass Palm at CBS dropped us all the way down to the Outback.
Yep. Still more FB to be played. NY6 would be great. I feel no matter where we wind up going for 11 wins, winning the state, and good bowl will do UF well.im not getting my panties in a wad over the outback.... i still feel like we see more chaos next weekend and get a ny6. hopefully a local orangebowl bid
The Orange Bowl could help us in recruiting in south Florida, is more prestigious than the Cotton Bowl and playing Virginia would be an easier win than playing Memphis in the Cotton Bowl, IMO.im not getting my panties in a wad over the outback.... i still feel like we see more chaos next weekend and get a ny6. hopefully a local orangebowl bid
