Aaron Hernandez. Yes, he got plenty of shots at UF and really hit defenders hard following those quick bullet shuffle passes. He was also very elusive in college - if he didn't knock a guy out, he had an uncanny knack of getting away. But, he really didn't start killing it, and showing to be one of the most productive slayers in the NFL, until after college. He was, however, easier to bring down in the pros.
Puns aside, the guy was on pace to be an NFL Hall of Famer, but was only about the 4-5th option on his own offense in college. He and Percy were nearly unstoppable when we went to them in the title game against OU. At the time, he was underrated.
Fred Weary was awesome and had an incredible career here. Love that guy.
Great post Alex.
Loved Fred, if for no other reason than he tried to cheat off my test in one of those huge freshman weed-out classes. The problem was we had different coded tests, and he wasn't trying to compare questions to my answers, but just copy off of the scan-tron sheet that didn't match his test book.
He could ball a lot better than he could school.
