It's the off-season, so please forgive me for starting a thread on woman's basketball....but this is ridiculous.

My curiosity got the better of me; it was 32-2 at the half, 57-14 after 3, and the final was 87-32. I imagine that for most of the 2nd half USCe must have emptied the bench.

Is the SC lady coach actually this good or are there behind the scene things going on that made her so successful at LSU and now SC.

This does happen a lot. Implies two things, 1) not enough talented players compared to the number of available scholarships, and 2) great players want to play with other great players.

I don’t know why, but women’s basketball is a niche sport in my mind. It is almost unwatchable even when played at the highest level. In comparison women’s tennis, gymnastics, swimming, diving, track, volleyball, softball and soccer are all fantastic to witness when elite athletes are involved.

I find women’s tennis, gymnastics, and volleyball are typically better than the men’s as spectator sport. But women’s basketball sucks in comparison. Big time.

There’s hotties involved in all the sorts you enjoy watching. Hoops...not so much.
It’s not rocket science.

I enjoy watching nearly every college sport out there including women’s sports but there is one exception, women’s basketball.
I have attended several softball games, volleyball matches, and gymnastics meets in the last couple of years but I cannot take women’s basketball.
The game is way too sloppy for me to tolerate it for more than a few minutes. The women struggle to handle the ball in the open court many times and it gets worse from there

I just cannot watch it

That's not even close to the most lopsided score in women's basketball history. According to Gray's Sports Almanac, (1950-2000), the Milwaukee Froth and the Chicago Flow of the WNBA share the record for lopsided victories in women's basketball, both topping their opponents by 69. In 1997 the Froth, led by prolific scorer Michelle Yeastie and Dutch giant Aneeka Denttaldam beat the Detroit Toxic Shock 89-20. Two years later the Flow, led by Erica Mansingill and World Stay Free (daughter of World B. Free), beat the Santa Fe Taco 98-29. The 98 points is still a single-game record.
