Apologies if I missed it, but i couldn't find a Memorial Day thread.

Feeling extremely thankful for those who gave everything for this country!

Wife and I went to Arlington Cemetery today to pay respects....and ran into this guy. We often walk through the Cemetery and this is a first!

A Memorial Day thread in the Sports Forum makes me think of Pat Tillman...

I’ve had a hard time finding a lot to like about the NFL these days, but I’ll always have respect for his sacrifice.

I never served a day in my life but can’t thank those who did and died for our freedom enough.

Memories: My wife’s Grandfather; Edward Parker Farr; Lt. Commander US Navy, Pearl Harbor Survivor and Jeff Farr His brother, who was shot down over England in WWII

I’ve lived over half my life in Arlington and Alexandria; I don’t think I ever saw any deer (dead or alive) let alone a buck. Great photo.

We used to go there after church (before the lockdowns) and walk through the cemetery (usually once or twice a month) and I've never seen a deer. We saw a fox haul ass right past us one time, which was hilarious....but not a deer. He wasn't too worried about us either. We walked within 25 yards of him and he just looked at us.

Fox are pretty common up there; we had one in our neighborhood in N. Arlington I used to see all the time. I'm not surprised the buck wasn't fazed by you and Mrs. BMF; it's not like anybody is allowed to hunt within quite a few miles of there!

We have a fox family that lives in our backyard. They are all over Arlington. One night I heard a screaming right outside my window, I open the window and stick my head out and there's a fox & a cat squared off w/ each other. I yelled at them and they both turned in the opposite direction and ran....then the cat did a quick U-turn and ran after the fox. It was hilarious! One of the fox's a few years ago looked all mangy, so my wife bought some mange medicine from Tractor Supply and pumped it into some chicken and left it outside, doing this several days in a row. We never saw a mangy looking fox again!

It's in the Political Forum.
Ah, I see why. I'm assuming it got moved there? Not bashing anyone because there's a significant connection that's moved to the forefront. Still, it's probably best for folks to avoid the political comments in these threads.

Again, I get the frustration. I bite my tongue multiple times a day...

I never bite my tongue. Don't have very many friends either.
