I have been to two country fairs, a rodeo AND a tractor pull but I do not recall seeing something quite like this go down before.

No. 4 was arrested and booked after the incident.

Given what was at stake I think it's probably a safe bet that the player who got hit had it coming, but that's not the way to solve problems. No. 4 demeaned himself by throwing a sucker punch like that.

The way to resolve that dispute like a gentleman was to give the guy a two-handed shove and let him have a chance to put his hands up, THEN tee off on him.

I wish the video was longer so we could see what happened next, but from what I've read, an all-out slobberknocker of a brawl did NOT erupt...like it would have BACK IN MY DAY! :goon:

Meanwhile...in other basketball fight news tonight...

You have to watch this clip to the end for the good part. After a scuffle broke out on the court between Nebraska and NC State tonight, a Nebraska player who was out with a knee injury comically scooted over to the fray with his knee scooter to lend emotional support to his teammates. :lol2: The announcers goof on him for it at the end of the video.

In rural N FL, this sentence would have ended with “…and a goat (friggin’)!” That somehow helped emphasized the absurdity of the “but I ain’t never seen…” part. But I agree, as I have never seen something like that in the handshake line as a player, coach, AD, or parent watching my own son play. Plenty of dust ups, but no sucker punches. And btw I’ve never been to a goat friggin!’

I'm impressed he chose the body shot first, not many kids realize how vulnerable that is. Left his head shot wide open.

And what exactly is a sucker punch? Coming up behind somebody? Fine. Walking towards a dude that might have been throwing bones and talking shyt all night? Better put your hands up friend.

If and I emphasize the word "IF" this kid was just being a complete azz and just picked someone to punch. But as I stated we have nothing but a vid to judge, sometimes that's enough but in the this case for me, I'd need more info.

There's no doubt in my mind there was some crap going on in the game for him to want to do what he did. But so what? Boys learn at a young age you don't sucker punch - it's cowardly.

#4 maintains a personal "Most Punchable Faces" list.....and unlike many of us, he was able to get right in front of one of the faces on his list. I can't blame him for taking his shot!

To say, "I need more info about what happened earlier" is the kind of "woke" bs that is becoming common in our society. Whatever happened doesn't make a sneak attack alright. If you are pushed around during the game, stand your ground right then, that's how we all have been taught. To wait until after the game is over and attack when your opponent isn't expecting it is cowardly and reeks of poor sportsmanship, even no sportsmanship.

I've been sucker punched at least twice that I can remember. Fortunately though it wasn't by #4. Worst outcome for me was I spilled some of my beer one of the times.

I think #4 may have knocked that other kid out.

Since you asked, a sucker punch, like the name implies, is when you haul off and hit somebody who totally, 100% was not expecting you to do so at that moment, even if there was a beef between you.

The guy who got hit is actually bigger, and you're probably right that he was doing sh*t the whole game to provoke no. 4, to the point that no. 4 was so enraged that he could not leave that night without getting payback.

Still, you can't just slug somebody out of nowhere in the handshake line, where things like that literally NEVER happen. It's basically the same thing as coming up from behind him, like you said, in terms of how prepared the guy was to take a punch.

The only exception I will grant you is if while they were beefing during the game, no. 4 straight up told the guy, "I'm gonna Fuchs you up as soon as this game is over," and then was mean-mugging the guy in the eyes as he approached him in the line. In that case you'd be right -- he should've been ready and not assumed no. 4 was bluffing.

Oh yeah, the kid got knocked the Fuchs out for sure. According to this he report he also needed some stitches, but ultimately he was okay:

I've been on both ends of these kinda situations, all I can say is I've never seen a rule book for fighting. Whether it's in a football locker room, parking lot or bar the one who lands the first shot wins 90+% of the time. The kid was looking straight at him when he was attacked, should of been paying better attention.
