Why am I so used to whiffs by our football and basketball teams?

Because it's more of a baseball term? IDK? But I'm with you. Why couldn't Broome see the situation as a great college time with the friendship & camaraderie with Castleton as an outstanding power duo.? Does any coach present that picture.? We need that to be sold when there might be worry of being overshadowed.

Is Fudge a defensive specialist? Is he going into pack it in around the rim?
Well yes kind of. Top defensive transfer. Can guard just about any position. Very long and athletic. Showed very good offensive skills in high school. Didnt get to show them at LSU. Is actually younger than Jalen Reed because he skipped a year to enroll early at LSU

My take on recruiters pitching camaraderie and adopting a "by-your-side" mindset in the building of a group compatibles like Noah, Horford, Richard, Speights, Moss, etc -- all those were tall competitors who could fear overshadowing each other. Gator coaches and recruiters have to be able to pull together a few of that kind of group. UF cannot have Billy Donovan back but we could have a coach-recruit unit that tries to bundle similar size & style players. I know, it's impossible to get the same worth but why not admit that that would be the template to recruit.??

A strong front court is definitely the template in college basketball.

In the NBA you can survive an off shooting night or two and still win tournaments in a best of seven format.

In college where the tournaments are single elimination it's more critical to be able to score in the paint when the shots aren't falling.

It's really incredible how much front court depth we had on the back to back teams. Behind future NBA all stars Noah and Horford, you had Chris Richard who also had a brief stint in the NBA with support from a cast of bigs that included Adrian Moss, Mo Speights, Dan Werner and Jonathan Mitchell. Mitchell was 6'7 240 and the tiny number of minutes he got were really at small forward. On our current roster he'd be the third biggest guy.

It'd be extra-lucky if Golden were to get us a 6'10 or bigger experienced player from Europe, a real basher. Is UF attractive at all as a basketball destination.?
Wonder if Jitoboh found ways to improve a lot, during his long rehab since his injury involved his eye, I think.? Where could we get info on his recovery progress.?

As far as can be found, Jitoboh may not have survived eye surgery - expired on the operating table, or succumbed to covid complications.
