I'm happy with a #9 finish, but not thrilled. I think in reality it is a great step in the right direction.
The problem is #9 in the country is #5 in the SEC and that isn't good enough. All signs are pointing to a top 5 class next year, which is getting us to the right point.
The other thing is that the new transfer rules will significantly change the way we look at recruiting rankings. The reality is that more of these guys are transferring than ever before.

Without an elite 5* guys we aren't exactly where we need to be, we are closer, but I want titles.

Will Sammon said getting Bogle was all Grantham. He also made the point that Mullen is having to build relationships in areas he’s never recruited. Mullen knew elite players weren’t going to Miss. St. So, it took time. Things are beginning to take off. One last thing. What recruits seem to really like are the way our staff coaches and interacts with players. Things like that take time to get out to recruits.

Jalon and Black are both way better than their ratings honestly I think Wright Kimbrough and Henderson are as well...our commits get a drop in ranking as soon as the next calculation comes up unless they were a superstar in an all star game...it’s odd

I agree wholeheartedly with 90%+ of your original post, and 100% with this post. You made excellent points. My point is that we've had a helluva good first year under Mullen. He and the staff have clearly already started working on next year. We can celebrate today, and resume our valid critiques tomorrow. Just my opinion. Go Gators!

Mehhhhh class, but just like the season we appear to be finishing strong and there is hope for an elite class next year.
Lack of NT/DT/SDE for the second year will be a big problem for us. We will be forced to play true freshmen down the road.
Also, we werent stealing low 3 stars from FIU or South Houston.
It was a huge late recovery. Probably the bigfest recovery Ive ever seen given where we were in early December.
