We went through this last year when I posted the links to Franks in high school, remind people.who.could run before Butterteeth fvkked him up, said he would play better in a running based spread. The highlight video showed that he ran a lot then or he threw after running a lot. There isnt much straight drop back pocket passer stuff on film in high school either.

I still cringe when I see him trying to do something in the pocket. he just looks uncomfortable.

AR excelling at these camps is pretty good news because the camps are set up to highlight pro-style passing abilities not the abilities of running quarterbacks.

He is projected and has always been projected as a mobile pocket passer/pro style qb. He averaged 15 yards rushing a game in high school. I really don’t know what point you’re trying to prove.

He has never been a run heavy qb and there’s no film to back that up.

I saw the same stuff you did, not impressive to say the least. Hate to say it, but he looks like the player BMF said he was from jump. I certainly wish the Rivals rating was legit, but based on what I just saw, that 4* / 215 national overall ranking is way, way off. Oh well, another happy little dream dashed by big ugly facts.

I never said run heavy. But his HS highlights showed plenty of running from a spread offense.

He was never going to be a prostyle QB, that is my point and the morons that rated him that don't deserve to be called professional scouts.

Franks is getting better and better since Mullens got here....QB is a full time job plus some.....not much times for hoars.....unfortunately

A couple of take aways from the opening:

Wingo says we are gonna flip Bowman. Working heavily on Avantae Williams

Dexter said he’s only going to visit florida. No plans to visit Georgia

Jahari Rogers apparently might actually have Florida in front and not Texas. Commitment coming end of month

Don’t get your hopes up on Bowman. If you discount recent history, facilities, etc, these two things are going to be tough trends to overcome by themselves: 1) his parents reportedly don’t like Florida and 2) Clemson rarely gets flipped.

My point... To say that Franks' mechanics are a disaster is extremely disingenuous. It's not perfect, but whose is? You put Franks in a QB camp against any QBs in college football, he'd probably look the best.

I’ve defended Franks as much as anyone on here, but that’s some dumb sh*t right there. :lol:

Sounds like Richardson is going to be the real deal for Florida. I think he's the right QB at the right time for the Gators, excited thinking about what he can do here under Mullen.

I'm not sure about that.

He's slated as a 2nd or 3rd day prospect, as is. That's based solely on physical gifts and attributes. If his brains matched his physical he'd definitely be a first round pick. He's 6'6" and strong. He'd test remarkably well at the combine. I'm not saying he'll be a good NFL QB. But if you've watched the NFL, you know someone will fall in love with him. You don't find frames like his everywhere. The guy is gifted physically.

His mom doesn’t like Zipperer. Which is whatever. And that comes from a poster on another site and not any kind of real insider.

And 2. Doesn’t matter. It’s a marathon not a race. We will see. Kid will be at Florida dozens of times over the year.
