I don't necessarily think Stoops would win any titles at FSU (he really doesn't scare me that much as a coach), but the fact is he would be prominence and legitimacy back to that school immediately, which would hurt UF every which way. We couldn't outrecruit FSU even in these past couple of hideous years for them.

Completely agree. Nothing against Stoops. He is probably better than 95+% of the coaches out there, but he is no Saban. So there will be the fans that say he is a traitor b/c he was a DC here and can't ever be paid by the
. Horsedong!!. Pitino was head coach at both UK and UofL. He was supposedly a defensive genius. went to OU, had good defenses for a few years and then his defenses fell apart. He won 1, ONE nat. champ and he is talked about like he has to be escorted with a Brinks truck b/c of his jewelry collection. Now only having one does not make him a bad coach, just bringing up the point. Then you will have the fans who say he is old, washed up, in a way to justify the belief in their own team. the truth lies somewhere and if he becomes the next coach of the
and they can only take so many recruits so there will be plenty of players available for many schools. If the team we gnaw over so much has such a great staff then develop the guys you do get!
