Are you telling me he wasn't the OC and/or QB coach for all of them? Are you really claiming there wasn't a huge drop off when Daz was OC instead of Mullen? Who's making sh*t up!
Your argument sure seems to be a whole lot of circular bullsh*t. Of course there are nuances, and playing to strengths and staying away from weaknesses certainly plays a role in what they do, but they run basically the same system. Regardless, the fact of the matter is Mullen took two QB's that weren't highly recruited and turned them into NFL QB's (you think maybe, just maybe, being at Utah and MSU had something to do with needing to take lower rated QB's...) Even supposing it wasn't his scheme, he still turned them into NFL QB's, which most would consider more impressive than turning a 5 star into an NFL QB. The one highly recruited QB he got, who said Mullen played a huge role in his commitment to UF, btw, he turned into a Heisman winner and perhaps the greatest college QB of all time. Why do you think EJ chose UF over OSU and Bama? Why do you think JJ chose UF over OSU and Bama? If they care about winning and getting to the NFL, as you stated, why didn't both choose OSU or Bama?
So what position does Meyer have trouble landing? WR? Funny, he's got the #2 and #23 WR's in this year's class, and three 4-stars signed with OSU last year, which is the same as the year before. TE? He got last year's #2 TE, and his commitment this year chose that crappy offense for a TE over Bama's. OL? You guessed it, a 5 star and two 4-stars thus far this year, which is the exact same as last year. Man, it sure is hard to recruit for that offense.
There literally isn't a single analyst in the country that doesn't think Mullen is a great QB coach. So should we believe the guy on a message board, who's talents haven't landed him a job on a sideline or in the booth, or the guys that get paid to analyze college football. Are you really trying to tell us you know more than Gary Danielson? How about Tim Tebow? Remind me again who's suffering from the DK effect?
We all hate what UF has become, but even a woman can see what's "literally happening" is a 4-7 team is now 6-3, despite being handcuffed by both a lack of talent and players that don't fit the system. Hell hath no fury...
