You know, the problem with the new ESD is that now most of the FIU garbage even is gone.

I guess though if you had a staff that was totally unaware of their situation they would have just rode it into the ground on NSD under the old system.

Players not already committed to UF:

Avantae Williams (Safety)
Kaleb Long (WR)
Kris Abrams-Draine (WR)
Dee Beckwith (TE)
E. Jai Mason (WR)
Henry Parrish (RB)
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB)
Jalin White (RB)
X. Henderson (lol)

If we land Williams - and Britt signs - Britt likely plays WR. Hell, if we miss on Williams, Britt likely plays WR either way. With Manuel being iffy, we need at least 1 more WR in this class.....and RB is a big need. There may be another DL addition also, but they appear to be done.
Let's say Manuel and britt get in . And we land Williams parrish and beckwith. I don't think that's a bad class.
Unlike some, I like britt at receiver. We know Manuel and fraziers are studs. I don't think we have knock rb out of the park this year but we have to get somebody. Knox has to go or be demoted. Next year we have to land a bonafide ball player at rb.
I don't think all is lost like some because we got most of what we need. We're definitely gonna need some luck as far Manuel getting in. All that being said we've got to get some closers on this staff.

Id rather save the spot than take someone like Parrish or worse.

He is a Sunbelt player or ST only. We shouldnt have room for that.

I have no problem with that but what's the point in not taking him if we're gonna keepKnox? It'll just be the same next year. I would imagine he's better than sunbelt talent. Ain't ole miss trying to get him? For the record I'm not big on scatbacks either. Especially in the sec.

yes, the Sunbelt coach at ole Miss wants him. that says it all.

if we keep Knox, the problem is self-correcting, just as keeping nussdrunk was self-correcting.

Too small for a starting SEC RB and we already picked up a "return specialist" type if I recall correctly. Gibbs would be very good prospect, but I'm finished crossing my fingers and toes. If it happens I'll be pleasantly surprised, if not it'll just be more of the same.

I like this class a lot. Dan is steadily rebuilding the program and I’m convinced he’s doing it with a long term vision in mind. He added some serious beef and talent on both lines; the kind of dual-threat QB he’s had major success with; and a potentially game-wrecking freak defensive athlete in Wingo. Those guys are going to be fun to watch.

But, WTF regarding ILB (Wingo is more of a line-him-up-all-over guy); RB; and WR. Errbody just wrecked UF head-to-head at those positions. I’m a natural born pumper, but have seen enough now to recognize that the staff coaching those positions needs a recruiting upgrade. Either fire and replace them, or get them some seriously targeted staff assistance to help them with information and tactics if you value their coaching. And some sales training.

After reading this post, and your thread on the kid from Pcola (my hometown)... you should definitely post more. You're one who wants to see positives in what Dan's doing, but not blinded to the obvious faults that this current staff has. We have championship potential, if only...

See where UGA is trending for 2nd 5* rb of class. Smh, we can’t even get a 3*

I feel like we’re on the early parts of the path to greatness and am hoping Dan is trying to build something sustainable along the way. Obstacles rarely come down to solving a single variable. If it were that easy, everyone would be title contenders and HBC’s wouldn’t be paid millions. Dan is being paid a lot to make hard decisions. I think he’s faced with a few to make now.
