Lingard said his transfer is related to family illness. If true, he should get a waiver. Shorter could get one depending on how he approaches the application.

Im transfering from a school three hours away to a school 2 hours away is a tough sell.

it's the same reason Chris Steele was never going to get a waiver "to be closer to his family" while going to Oregon.
