I’ve given up on the so called recruiting experts on Twitter. All they want to do is promote their mind numbing podcasts. I just rely on all the reliable sources here. If nothing else at least it’s entertaining.just checked twitter......super slow uf recruiting news
You mean compared to our excellent WR classes the last two years, and every Mullinz year?the dawgs’ lack of WR depth got exposed vs LSU.
kirby got the bagmen workin’ overtime. They’ve got tons of spots left and I bet they and Clemson sweep every blue chip WR off our board.
Ah yes, the whole “Jefferson and Grimes” don’t count argument. You mean compared to our excellent WR classes the last two years, and every Mullinz year?
Please show me who we've recruited. The fact that we got a transfer to play and leave this year doesn't keep you from landing any WRs in the last two classes.Ah yes, the whole “Jefferson and Grimes” don’t count argument.
The leading rusher in Florida was Johnny Richardson at Lake Wales. He’s really fast and extremely elusive, great cuts etc. But he’s 5’7” and 175, the prototypical back - for UCF. He ran wild vs. a very weak schedule and played well against the 3-5 legit teams they played.
I’m happy to have a kid like that on our roster, like Brandon James, Rainey, Demps, etc., as an accent/role player. There are rare guys like Warrick Dunn or Darren Sproles who are special players, but you can’t load up on them and win SEC championships.
So you are suggesting we move to the Big 12 so we can play weak ass defenses?Teams westward have a more open mind about "undersized" scatbacks: i.e. Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Oregon State. Often I see RBs and flankers that are 5'9", 165 lbs. with tremendous speed.?? They survive.
Maybe he is just suggesting that our team could use more speed. I loved it when Urban asked for, and got, the fastest team in the country. So you are suggesting we move to the Big 12 so we can play weak ass defenses?
We recruited Grimes and Jefferson who contributed for 2 years. Copeland started contributing this year. Frazier and Manuel look good. Those were all recruited - transfer or not. Your opinion on transfer is stupid and doesn’t matter - coaches are actively recruiting from the portal, including UGA and Bama. Please show me who we've recruited. The fact that we got a transfer to play and leave this year doesn't keep you from landing any WRs in the last two classes.
We've landed Copeland and two "oops we didn't land shyt so take some crap" players in two years.
And now we are going to take more crap this year.
Look who just offered
Yeah, Im sure that will work. The guys who couldn't land WRs the first 3 years will just "load up" in year 4.Were just gonna have to load up next year and hope one of these reaches is a ball player.
So you are suggesting we move to the Big 12 so we can play weak ass defenses?
It was a tweet from his uncle, former NFL WR Mike Sims-Walker.
Here's an article:
Former NFL wide receiver upset with FSU coach Mike Norvell over nephew’s recruitment
https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/florida-state-university/article238315883.html
Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker isn’t happy with new Florida State coach Mike Norvell.
Sims-Walker is the uncle of consensus 4-star quarterback recruit Jeff Sims, who plays high school football at Jacksonville Sandalwood High and plans to sign during next week’s early signing period.
Sims committed to the Seminoles last February. Following WiLLLLLLLie Taggart’s dismissal on Nov. 3, Sims remained locked in with FSU. That changed this week.
Sims announced on Twitter he was decommiting from the Seminoles. Maryland and Georgia Tech emerged as front-runners to land the dual-threat quarterback.
Sims announcement came two days after Norvell reportedly met with him and told him he didn’t fit his system.
That led to Sims uncle, Mike Sims-Walker, to tweet his disapproval of the situation on Thursday.
“This new FSU coach @Coach_Norvell is a POS for the way he handled my nephew (Jeff Sims) situation!” Sims-Walker wrote in a since deleted tweet.
Sims is rated the No. 7 dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports’ composite rankings. The Seminoles can ill-afford to miss on a quarterback for this year’s class. FSU previously did not sign a high school quarterback in the previous two recruiting cycles, instead relying on the transfer portal.
FSU extended offers Wednesday to other quarterbacks, including USF commit Tate Rodemaker.
IDK. A 3* ranked 586. Sounds like a kid we get.
