Chanting someone’s name is often a viewed as flattery. There’s a question about the Charger’s schedule. Some genuine concern about fines he’s facing, and a polite goodbye to end things. What I don’t understand is that if no one on the KC side was protesting, and the play proceeded with both sides engaging because they couldn’t hear the whistle, why didn’t they just count down? It wasn’t as if players stopped or a TO was called by a coach or player. The play was run with no effect at all. At the end of the day it may or may not have even had an impact on the outcome. But it’s just a bad look.
