When this is your lead recruiter you are fuched.
What was a recruiting meeting like?
Mullen: Has anyone been to Jacksonville this month? Who are we recruiting there? It would be cool if we logged a couple of trips just in case Stricklin asks about it. He has been riding my ass about getting some talent in here. Someone go visit a few coaches, stay at a casino, get your pipes cleaned... but don't get caught.

What are your thoughts on C. Miller the DT from Ga.? Has he scheduled a visit?

Just eliminated us. Focusing on Georgia, Ohio St, Oregon and Florida A&M. TOS says probably Georgia for him.

This is the current situation. I dont count us out yet though. I think once we hire a DL coach it might get him interested again. At least we know if its a kid we want the staff wont give up.

I was looking more closely after I posted and saw he was an edge guy. Let's hope he has a big frame! Still I'll take a 240# edge guy over some of the 225# guys we took under the last regime.

Some of his quotes are hard to get a feeling on what he is thinking but there was a reoccuring theme in a lot of his comments about Auburn: still committed to them and loves them but wants to make the best decision for him and make sure he fits in. Kinda reads like Im going to Auburn until I find something better and Im looking for something better.

Story posted on TOS talking about Emar'rion Winston recruitment process by Florida. Nothing but great things to say about everyone he talked with on our new staff. Its refreshing to actually hear this type of stuff versus what we heard from recruits talking about the previous staff. We got 5* players scheduling visits in January as well. Its just night and day when comparing this staff to the previous staff. I dont know if we sign these kids or not but at least there is an energy of excitement being built about the program and recruits are taking notice.

TBH, I'm trying hard not to set myself up to be disappointed, yet again

What was wrong with the last staff? It's as if mullen told them not to worry about recruiting.

My concern is this reads just like December 2017. Hope this time turns out differently. The focus, organizational structure, and lack of obvious ego-placed limits seems like it might be different. We'll know a lot more next year at this time.

Really like the work BN and this staff are putting in now. Making some noise. Nice.

TBH we didn't see anything like this with the last staff. Love the social media emphasis they are putting on this. Just getting these guys to make an official visit is a sign that this staff is working. Maybe this staff has the "relentless effort" as opposed to the last staff just saying it.
