Beggers can't be choosers! His ceiling is All-SEC at OT

Well, Tampa, Orlando, Jax and Trashahassee are still locked down by Clowns.

scUM has all of south Florida

We are about 50/50 in Ocala though. That is pretty close.

Yeah where we get academic casualties and kids that look like they’re allergic to sunlight and wheat germ...cool stuff

6'7" 250 lb Tony Livingston wants our football scholly, and got an okay to walk-on onto our basketball team. In his junior season, (2020-2021), he averaged 17-ppg and 8 reb/g. Similar averages (14ppg & 7 rebs/g) in sophomore year. Are we looking at another budding Charles Barkley?
If he's that co-ordinated, he could very much help us in basketball = someone who can bang, and draw fouls.??

Hey, at least it seems the staff may be back from vacation and apparently figured out you can still recruit for next year.

Question for the folks here who follow this more closely than I: What are our chances with this guy? Assuming the 'cruiting sites are right about his skill set, I believe this guy is critical for us to land. He's the highest or 2nd highest rated OL in Florida, he's at IMG, but I believe a Fla. native, and as we all know, we reeeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyy need some 4* OL talent.

Edit: He's from New Jersey.

If it’s IMG don’t pay too much attention

IMG opened after weinke and we already got wilcoxson recently (although he might have committed before he transferred?). The issue is going to be Hev more than img.

Booker would be BY FAR the highest ranked OL hev has gotten. In 3.5 classes, I think he's only gotten/kept 3 4*s. Tarquin was just barely a 3* and he wouldn't have gotten Braun without the coaching change.

OL recruiting has been abysmal. There’s a reason our line sucks.

which position recruiting have not sucked?

blitzbacker/rush and.....?

I would say cornerback regardless of the defensive scheme problems.

I think QB has been good. And receiver. Not elite. But good.

Receiver would be shlt if it weren't for the portal. Obviously, the portal counts, but it was only a matter of time until we have a group like we currently do that will be very average in The SEC. I like both guys in the 2021 class, but only getting two was bc this staff lost B Smith, had another grade casualty and then somehow thought they could do better than Montgomery.

Very weirdly, LB actually hasn't been recruited that badly from a talent (going by ranking) standpoint. Hopper, Wingo, Black, Diabate, Scooby are all top-15 at their position guys. We just can't develop them. But the LB room actually has one of the highest average recruit rankings, even with brunson.

TE would be the other spot with a legit average in their position group (I never get why they give so few 4*s to TEs). Elksnis is the lowest as the #22 TE.

RB would be pathetic without the portal, bc I think it'd only be Wright.

Tarquin was a 4* on both 247 (composite) and Rivals, albeit a low rated one.

Guess this can go here since it’s kind of recruiting related. Looks like we have found Coop’s replacement. Idk anything about him other than he played at Southern Miss. These Mississippi ties will pay off for Miss St.... I mean Florida. Dumbazz Dan.

my wording was stupid. tarquin was a 4*, but barely. 2nd to last 4* OT, which i only remember, bc we were wondering if hev was gonna 'lose' a 4* due to his injury dropping him. Hammond was the top 3* so hev was on the brink of looking significantly better or worse based on a couple spots.

All these virtual visits...man, when do we start landing some 5-6* virtual commitments?!?!?

virtual commit is better than secret commits, amirite?

And yet the LBs will again be among the worst in the conference.

Saying that is funny. It's a lot like saying OL recruiting isn't too bad except we only sign guards. LB recruiting isn't bad except we only sign OLB hybrid blitz specialists.

@Detroitgator, i liked the movie in general as far as mindless comedy goes, but that was definitely the funniest subplot

I don't. They will "keep" better there than dry storage.

I can harvest 100+ onions in about 20 minutes.

no, like the day you say "my onions are ready, lets go get them out of the ground." how long is that process
  • g8tr72 g8tr72:
Usually just over 3 months. I like to harvest them just before I plant my taters near Valentines Day
