I'll get bombed for this but I thought he was ok, he was good for a little humor every now and then and his music play list was sometimes listenable.
Was he perfect? No but who the hell is.
Bombed? You mean banned.I'll get bombed for this but I thought he was ok, he was good for a little humor every now and then and his music play list was sometimes listenable.

Yeah, I'll agree to this. He was funny and the music was nice filler. But where he lost me was with the Chimp, blindly defending the guy when everybody could see what he was putting on the field was utter crap. He did learn his lesson, he wasn't so all in on Butters.I'll get bombed for this but I thought he was ok, he was good for a little humor every now and then and his music play list was sometimes listenable.

I'm sure everyone here will read the fine Shakespearean work Edgar Thompson wrote.
Well if he read your post he probably don't have much of an ego anymore.Pat is flat out unlistenable. His radio show with Jeff Cardozo is one of the worst I've ever heard. Most of the time during the show they talk about the most irrelevant **** you've ever heard of. We could be playing in the SEC title game the next day and they'd be talking about MLB or anything. Pat also for some reason has some sort of weird ass ego. Not sure how that happened. Dude got his journalism degree like 45 years ago and being a columnist for the Gainesville Sun is the best he could do in that time. Since Covid, it also seems as though he WANTS games to be canceled. Robbie, some how, is even worse. I have yet to discover what that guy ever brought to the table. He has the personality of a dead cat.
Damn I thought Pat might read this and give me a "like" wheres Dooley when you need him.I'll get bombed for this but I thought he was ok, he was good for a little humor every now and then and his music play list was sometimes listenable.

Behind the paywall.Damn I thought Pat might read this and give me a "like" wheres Dooley when you need him.
Even going back farther than Dooley and Andreu there's Beeeeeonnnnkeeee! To me there has been nothing since the Sun ran off Jack Hairston. I've always deep down thought Bianchi had something to do with that. But Tooley and Slobbie had the best opportunity to cover great UF teams and flat out was just lazy and complacent. What was interesting from all the stories they never seemed to have the "in" that any hometown paper would have. We've often made the comment that this board and old board (members) would have the scoop on many stories before those two could. But actually that's true.
To be nice I wish them well into retirement. And as always the Sun is only good for wrapping fish in it. If they're even printing enough to do that now.
