Kearse didn't play DE until the NFL. He was the SAM backer on the '96 championship team.

He was ON the 96 Championship team but he didn't play much. Bates, Dwayne Thomas, and Kelsey usually started. Peterson backed up at both outside positions and Rutledge played middle. Peterson played more. By the end of the year, Peterson was starting some and Rutledge started a game or two. Kearse only played in blowouts or on STs mostly. Kearse was dating a law student then.Kearse didn't play DE until the NFL. He was the SAM backer on the '96 championship team.
Wow? A guy known for mostly playing only if he felt like it?Dunlap
He was still fun to watch when he wanted to play lolWow? A guy known for mostly playing only if he felt like it?
Everyone remembers Brown for the five-sack effort against Tennessee on national TV, but he wasn't all that consistent. I'd take Jermaine Cunningham over him for just that reason, consistency. Moss and Harvey were probably the best 1-2 the university had and Kevin Carter was dominant on those early '90s teams. Didn't see Youngblood but hard not to acknowledge how great a career he had.
Did Richardson play more DE or backer? I honestly don't remember.

Always liked Brad Culpepper. Mcgrew was a beast too, and good to see him back at UF on staff now.
