You can bet on Franks to win the Heisman with the nice potential return of 200:1 at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook (according to this article from ESPN - Tagovailoa favorite to win Heisman next season). Anybody willing to back up their faith in him with a cold hard cash bet?

On a more serious note, it is interesting that he is at least available as a betting option, rather than simply falling into the "Field" category. I don't imagine any of us would have expected that to be a realistic option going into last season, so it really shows what a difference Mullen was able to make with Franks.

On a similar note, it looks like we are currently at about 25:1 for the National Title odds. That puts us as tied for 8th most likely in the nation. These are via vegasinsider.com:

Clemson 9/4
Alabama 11/4
Georgia 6/1
Ohio State 9/1
Oklahoma 10/1
Michigan 16/1
Texas 20/1
Florida 25/1
Notre Dame 25/1
Oregon 25/1
Washington 25/1
LSU 33/1
Nebraska 33/1
Auburn 50/1
Miami, Fl. 50/1
Mississippi State 50/1
Penn State 50/1
Texas A&M 50/1
Wisconsin 50/1
UCF 66/1
Iowa 100/1
USC 100/1
Utah 100/1
Virginia Tech 100/1
Missouri 150/1
Kentucky 250/1
Syracuse 250/1

I am excited about a Perine and Peirce backfield with Grimes, Van Jefferson, Copeland and Cleveland perimeter and throw in some Pitts and Krull over the middle. Franks just needs to get the ball into those guys hands a lot while bruising some DBs when he tucks and runs. But then I remember the ?s we have on our OL.

I'll give you guys 300:1 odds, PM me to where to send the money

He doesn't need to win the Heisman, needs to read the defense quicker/better, hit the OPEN receivers and we'll kick some serious azz !!

I will not throw money on betting and especially money betting on Franks.

But, I fully expect Franks to be highly efficient, and successful, as the Gators' QB in 2019.

I wonder how many douche bag UCF fans will put money on this and then insist on a payout when their AD anoints them MNC again

I have faith in Franks... just not that he's going to win a Heisman. He'll play well for us.

Only bet I would make on Franks, is that he under throws Van Jefferson at least 3 times, the first game

So are you saying:

1. you can predict whether or not Franks will under throw or over throw a pass?

2 you also bet Franks will over throw Van Jefferson 2 or 3 times in the first game?

Let's say Van Jefferson catches 4 pass, Franks under throws 3 to him as you bet and he over throws 2 to him. (BTW, my impression is Franks over throws more than under throws.) That would be 9 targets in the first game. I wonder if any UF player had 9 targets in any game last year? I guess maybe it could be 7 targets if Jefferson managed to catch a couple of the over and under throws?

As the O line goes, so goes the game results, followed closely by the D line.

I know, its cliche. But, this year, we have the skill players.

Better chance of a payout with a $10 bet on Franks to win the Heisman than you would buying 5 lotto tickets. :scratchchin:

I expect him to be much improved and possibly even a very good QB, but no, I wouldn't put any money on him winning the Heisman. Tua and Trevor are still alive and kicking.
