Here’s the breakdown of picks by FBS conference:

SEC: 51
Big Ten: 47
Pac-12: 32
ACC: 26
Big 12: 26
AAC: 10
Conference USA: 10
Mountain West: 9
Independents: 8
MAC: 6
Sun Belt: 3

There were also 21 from FCS, 2 from Division II, one from Canada and one from Germany.

It was the first time since 2006 that the SEC didn’t have a top 5 pick. Is the gap closing? Fox Sports’ Stewart Mandel noted that the SEC had 63 picks to the Big Ten’s 20 in 2013. This year, they were almost even.

ZERO players from Tennessee.

Of the 107 players who left school with eligibility remaining, 30 went undrafted.

Per Phil Savage, only 47 of the 96 underclassmen (no degree) were picked in the first four rounds. Every player’s situation is different, but you want them making the best situation. Remember, the NBA recently changed its rule to push back the withdrawal date, giving players more accurate information on their stock.

What are the numbers based on Rivals? We know that Scouts and ESPN sucks and would distort the numbers.

Also, how many 5, 4 and 3 stars were there? I suspect the number is thousands for 3 and 2 stars and tens of thousands for unranked. Pretty ****ty odds for those guys.

Lotta 5 stars in that 3rd round. Yeah, it's better to recruit them if you can, but so many factors go into where they get drafted. There are never any absolutes. Look at Bullard. Talk about a value pick.
