I disagree. I think it's more about the excitement of the moment after previous seasons saw chump choke in jax. If there was ever a coach who was "his boy," it's Billy. Because they had a great relationship AND Billy WON.

You're right about that. My point is that in Muschamp, Foley saw a chance to cement his legacy in a way that could never be challenged, which made theirs a special bond. He rolled the dice and lost, which as an entrepreneur I get and respect. Why he insisted on doubling down on his bet, though, I'll never quite understand.
