Why is everything racist? The scout's opinion was pretty spot on.

That dumbass should have entered last year's draft while his stock was high.....but instead, he was probably high!

Steven A Smith makes it about race, really? Shocking... would he feel better if he compared them to Ryan Leaf?

Ethnic gnostics at it again. Taking bets as to when this ends up in PF? :D

I've heard those same comments about plenty of quarterbacks over the years no matter the race.

I can't tell exactly what it is that has them so up in arms. Bayless seemed initially upset that the scout felt he'd be even less successful than Russell. He's a scout, and was asked his opinion. Then it's about taking a shot at his intelligence. Again, it's a question that he answered openly, about something that is deemed critical by NFL execs, thus the Wonderlic. And he's also likely basing it off of some of the tweets and comments from Jones himself. So he compared him to another black man that meets many of the other physical characteristics of Jones, and that's now racism?

So when Locker was often referred to as Tebow-esque, that was racism? Or in the 90s when people talked about the similarities between Doering and Collinsworth, that was racism? The whole "poor man's ____" has been a phrase for as long as I can remember.

Is it a tough critiquing, absolutely. Maybe a little harsher than need be, sure. But none of this mattered when players--black or white--issued completely unsolicited comments about Tebow being the worst QB they'd ever seen. Why this?

So ridiculous the way we've become.

So the opinion attached directly to 2 QB names (+ their lead-ins to the draft), that specific statement
gets hijacked into being "said" about their being Black ... into a generic about an entire race.?
ESPN commentators are divining that that scout's football evaluation (a guess & that's all it is) based
on his connecting Jones' on-field display and his prodigious physical measurements as similar to Russell's
is really motivated by a race-hate he has.??

Could the scout's evaluation-motive be to win a bet ?.. the only bet a scout can take his winnings
from = those bet-winnings of "I told you so." For all to look back & say "Boy, he sure scooped the
table on that one.??

Being a non-judgemental, down-the-middle guy, I say : "There's immense stupidity on both sides o' me."

Everything that scout said is at minimum, able to be reasonably argued, and may even prove true. Jones is a big strong fast kid, but he is a kid. He's immature, he's not real bright, and he is most certainly not an adult. And saying that has nothing to do with racism. It doesn't matter if hes white black or freaking candy-striped. Its just simply an assessment of who he is mentally. Stephen A Smith is a militant race baiting ****tard who fits in perfectly at ES-PC and his apologizer, bayless is a no balls, sorry excuse for a candy-ass. ESPC is not sports coverage, its just race-baiting, PC pushing, garbage.

I recommend watching Fox Sports 1. They are witty, don't take themselves too seriously, and instead of listening to some pompous windbag sports journalista pontificate for an hour over absolutely nothing, they actually show sports and sports highlights.

So, does this make Stephen A Smith a racist when he talks trash about Tebow?

FYI - Tim Tebow & Ken Dorsey also had a great records as a starting QBs but that didn't help them in the NFL. Yet, Smith did nothing but bash Tebow after every game.
