referees blew that call by ruleAny of you catch this? Holy hell. A flag on what should have been Oklahoma State's final play, which gave Central Michigan one last chance.
Really? It was 4th down. I don't know enough about the rules but would think that would be a turnover on downs.Because the penalty play was intentional grounding, which is a loss of down. The game does not get extended on a penalty that includes loss of down.
I always thought the game couldn't end on an offensive penalty?Because the penalty play was intentional grounding, which is a loss of down. The game does not get extended on a penalty that includes loss of down.
Normally not but most penalties don't incur loss of down.I always thought the game couldn't end on an offensive penalty?
It WAS a turnover on downs. The grounding was on OSU. The ball went over on downs and CMU was awarded one untimed play.Really? It was 4th down. I don't know enough about the rules but would think that would be a turnover on downs.
Give them a chance to block it?Why throw the pass like OSU did? Why not just get into punt formation and kick it?
wowzer.. That's nuts. I'm sure that's why he was coached to throw away instead of just kneeling down or running a running play. That throw would take more time off the clock than anything. The moral of the story is to not let CMU (or umass or app state or Nicholls u) have a chance in the 4th or something crazy might happen to you.
Give them a chance to block it?
