@BruceFeldmanCFB: SOURCES: #WAZZU inside WRs coach JaMarcus Shephard is leaving WSU & expected to re-unite w/ Jeff Brohm at #Purdue. Cougfan 1st reported.
The SEC is already 2nd, they may actually be closing in on being 3rd.Two comments:
1. I doubt there will be any staff changes because Mac could not get anyone good anyway. Everyone can see a dead man walking
2. The Big Ten is upping the standard on coaches while the SEC is going backwards due to Saban's dominance. We may be the second best conference soon
This would have been unthinkable for me to admit even a couple of years ago but I have to agree with you, I think the SEC has really fallen a long way off the top of the pile. I also don't indulge in the majority's desire to blame Saban for it, either. The SEC is already 2nd, they may actually be closing in on being 3rd.
Don't be surprised if Michigan's coach goes back to the NFL before you know it. He may not like losing in the Meyer every year. heck Ohio State and Michigan neither one could win their own conferenceTwo comments:

I do Sabin has kind of ruined college football. A monopoly on five star talent. We need to just be open and honest and discuss how much we are going to have to pay to get the kids away from AlabamaThis would have been unthinkable for me to admit even a couple of years ago but I have to agree with you, I think the SEC has really fallen a long way off the top of the pile. He is within shouting range but that's it. He is the closest one and he is very far awayHow does Meyer get so many - just ignoring the criminal element some of them have? It seems he is the only one in shouting range of Saban when it comes to 5 stars.
I know this will drop me down to a level 3 Gator around here, but I frankly admire Saban. Guy's built a winning program at LSU and a dynasty at Alabama. Whatever it is, he's the magic piece of it because none of his assistants have been able to figure out how to replicate it. I remember a few years back how so many were saying Saban's dominance was done, he was a dinosaur, the "new" offenses that guys like Gus Malzahn and Hugh Freeze were running had made Saban obsolete, etc. Yeah, well, Saban will likely be playing for another NC and those other guys are on hot seats.I do Sabin has kind of ruined college football. Absolutely not we would love it and everyone would hate us and I would be fine with that. I love it when everyone hates us because that means were killing it.I know this will drop me down to a level 3 Gator around here, but I frankly admire Saban. I don't know, I just don't think many of us would be complaining that Saban was bad for college football if he were wearing orange and blue and prowling our sidelines and bringing in tons of hardware for our trophy cases.

Only if done on level playing fieldAbsolutely not we would love it and everyone would hate us and I would be fine with that. I love it when everyone hates us because that means were killing it.
I am telling you this Saban does have the magic the question is what magic does he have? I think when it's all said and done you will find out that there was a lot of hard work dedication and cheating going on

@DanWolken: No surprise. After Oregon didn’t work out for him, this was his best play. Could be more openings in 2017.
