Diwun Black WILL be attending UF....by his 30th birthday

s. What he did last year turning around the MENTALITY of the team was nothing short of amazing.

Ridiculous. He wasn't following Spurrier or Meyer, he was following the biggest tard to ever walk a sideline, with a locker room that was low on talent and totally beaten down with Butterness. What he did last year turning around the MENTALITY of the team was nothing short of amazing.
Mac is considered to be the worst coach UF has ever had. How that guy ever got a HC job is still mindblowing to me. We could honestly of sent out Jboss to coach the team and the mentality of the team would have changed dramatically. So having a good coach take over for an idiot the team should good different.

can't read any more of this crap...... :headslap:

Does leading large (100+ people) organizations comprised mostly of 18-25 year olds who are skilled in their tradecraft into challenging/dangerous conditions count as somewhat relevant experience?

Yes but leading and preparing kids to go to war is nothing like the rigors of being a football coach. Imagine the stress. It might even make you fake a heart attack.

My thoughts too. Fortunately, the military only gets the cream of the crop and we never have to deal with kids coming from broken homes or doing stupid **** or breaking the law.

Yeah, I mean all you warfighters cant imagine the stress of coaching football.

In fairness, we don’t have to worry with recruiting. That’s done for us. We just develop. And our guys are always motiv.... lol couldn’t type that last word with a straight face.

Do you have to worry about kids transferring to fight for North Korea, Russia or Iran if you aren't nice to them?

I have to worry about kids leaving every 4-5 years when they’re contracts up or taking new orders to a new unit. I have to worry about kids getting injured and being non-deployable. I have to worry about kids beating they’re spouses, committing sexual assault, and committing suicide. And I have to worry about kids complaining to the commanding officer or senior enlisted leaders if I’m not nice to them or if they don’t like their roommate in the barracks.

Yes, that's exactly what every vet has ever told me. If things got too uncomfortable, we'll just tattle. What they actually do tell me was that the gov't owned them and the gov't knew it and acted like it. But hey, they weren't a product of the Obama army either, so there's that

I’m not sure what this is supposed to mean but I’m guessing your secondhand recollections are more relevant than my firsthand experience? By the way, I’ve personally dealt with every one of things I listed within the last 8 months (having a troop I trained for months kill himself in our first month on deployment was by far the worst).

And Obama has nothing to do with this - it’s a generational thing. Kids today expect immediate resolution to their problems - military kids (and officers, unfortunately) are no different.

I'm referring to stories of soldiers getting charged for damaging government property because their tattoo got infected. Why? because they are gov't property. Maybe things are different now, I don't know. Frankly, I really don't care a whole bunch. You signed up and I didn't. I also never heard the vets talk about their training officers jump on message boards for...whatever this is that you're doing.

Messing with traz, mostly. Be interested to know the age range of the vets you hang with. Doubt they had message boards during their time. That said, higher ranking military officials have been known to surf fan sites. SECDEF Gates was a frequent poster at TexAgs (username ranger68).

Mostly mocking people who used to make excuses for coaches who faked illnesses bc of all the stress they had.

I'm fine with mocking Meyer.

It sounded an awful lot like he was throwing a pity parade for himself.

Speaking of getting reamed in the rear, that Golden press conference was a hoot. TG gave it to Oats for 40 minutes then with a quip to humiliate Bama further. Quite Spurrier-esque.

I've watched a ton of basketball in my lifetime, not sure I've seen too many guys his size play defense that effectively.

Last year I thought of Chinyelu as a poor man's Jose Vargas. This year he looks like he could start on most NBA teams.

He was pretty amazing yesterday. Makes you better understand Golden’s bold statement made to the media regarding Bama adding the NBA player (“G League Dropout” to their roster…”We’re gonna beat them anyway!” You can do that when you’ve got Chin in the middle!
