I get that but we were on their 40 yard line with 10 seconds left in the half, why not try a hail mary. Oh wait, Driskel was still in the game, he can't throw the ball more than 3 yards.

He tried to explain it in the post game. Said he wanted to take a shot at the endzone. But the penalty,, and the 40 seconds and then 25 seconds and runoff. I had trouble following it. But maybe it wasn't as bad as I first thought. I think I'm more confused.
But the gist of what he was saying was because of the rules, they would not be able to throw the Hail Mary and run out the full clock. That if unsuccessful there would be time on the clock for TN to throw one going the other way.
