Miami, statistically, was a top 15/5 unit by advanced stats (S&P/FEI) and a top 5 unit in traditional stats. Hardly “unspectacular”. Add in the knowledge of our offense by their staff I’d say that they were one of the most challenging defenses to play in our first game before we had a chance to work out the kinks.

I’ve been watching the Kentucky game. Lots of horizontal offense by Toledo and the defense has been aggressive. Keeping it close. Kentucky’s athletes are making plays which is why they’re winning by 7. Not sure how Toledo projects this year, though. 2018 they were a middle of the pack MAC team.

Toledo seems to throw more intermediate passes than we do. Wish we would more but not sure I’d trust Franks to do that.

Fsux is improved from last season. But man, are they buttery soft. This team isn’t beating scUM, Clemson, or us. And, they will lose one they aren’t supposed to. Good news, Taggelwain will win enough to make everyone think he is turning the ship around.

They’re going to lose this game.

Am I seeing this right? Is Boise’s QB a true Freshman? Starting on the road?

They might lose this one. Boise has momentum going into the 4th.
