Only 6 turnovers and out-rebounded Bama 35-24 with 12 offensive rebounds. Shot 60% for 2 pointers, but only 31% for threes mostly due to MF2 going 1-8.

And I feel for Grant. I'm sure Billy D feels terrible for Grant. I doubt he's retained at Bama.

Nice win for the good guys. Wish we could play this way all year, probably would have enough wins to make the tourney. Need something special to happen for the rest of this tournament, specifically tomorrow. It's always fun to hope.

I'm sure another team will pick him up. He proved he can win at VCU. Basketball at Bama is like football at Kentucky. They don't care.

Grant had more success at Bama than Pelphrey did at Arkansas, plus he has the added bonus of his success at VCU, so he should land another head coaching gig this offseason. It'll be back at a mid-major, though.

Donnie Jones may be gone at UCF. If Grant and Jones are canned, Grant, Pelphrey, and Jones all let go from their bigger school gigs after a stint at smaller ones. Can Billy D build a Sabanesque coaching staff by having a few volunteers?
