I don't know what some of you think he should have said? If he doesn't show support for his coach, other potential coaches would take note of that and that might make hiring one of them more difficult.
I think Foley is kind of like a used car salesman trying to sell a clunker with 200,000 miles on it... accentuate the positive and try to hide the negative.

In reality, it doesn't matter what anyone says right now. Wait until mid-season to see which way the wind is blowing! Actually, probably have to wait until after the season is over to get any real feel for what JF is cooking up.

I never heard him say that, regarding Muschamp being here for a LONG. LONG, LONG , LONG time. The part about Shanahan made me happy though...he's way too old and Foley's philosophy has always been to hire young guys that actually win championships. How many does Foley have under his watch now in all sports ?
