The only one who will see significant snaps is Collins. Gates???? The other two will compete with the PWO;s for practice spots.

Many recruited Gates as a safety. This isn't a surprise. Weston was a WR. He was moved to safety last season. Now he's at edge? How big has he gotten?

It isn't how many players change position, but how many players can Nappy get on the field correctly...

He was always like 6'3 235, basically a TE or TE hybrid lining up wide, like most big slow Mullen WRs.

Hill? Never heard of him. But when I looked up Edge to TE it says the following: See Westbrook, Tevin.

Pretty much single-handedly cost us two games in 2014.

Also, we have a 6th year Sr, a rising RSSoph, and a top HS recruit in front of him, plus two others. That move doesn’t make sense to me. I’d rather see him take time and eventually grow into a solid DL player than watch him sit as a 4th string TE.

Muschamp cost us those two games not Westbrook. We would never have been in that situation of needing Westbrook to be a TE if Muschamp hadn't driven off Gerald Christian by trying to convert him from TE to LB. Christian transferred to Louisville first chance he got and played well enough there to be drafted and last a couple of seasons in the NFL. Driving him away probably cost us a chance of signing his younger brother who's played five seasons in the NFL so far as an OT.

Most of our TEs are skinnies.
I'm not even sure where we are at TE. Boardingham made some nice plays in the middle part of the season but disappeared down the stretch and looked too thin to be a effective blocker...The big slow white guy(can't remember his name) made some nice catches in the last 3-4 games but I didn't really pay attention to his blocking. TE is one of those positions that takes time...rarely do freshmen or even 2nd year players standout.

Also correct. Just to really put into perspective, he inherited GC and AC Leonard, then signed Thompson and Taylor. Their TE rankings out of HS were #3, #2, #3 and #6. And by 2014, we were relegated to playing a two star converted defensive end at that position. You can’t script that type of incompetency.

Still mind blowing. At least two of those guys made it through their full rookie contracts in the NFL before having to hang it up.

At least he overcome the adversity on the field.
