NCAA ruled that he must miss 4 games. Now, when are they going to do something about Winston?

Surprised - Many people were saying the amount equated to a 2 game suspension and were convinced he would play against us.

Gurley should just sit out the rest of the season. He will be a 1st round draft pick even if he doesn't take another snap in college.

Schaad said it was in excess of $3,000. Anything over $700 warrants a 30% of the season suspension. That equates to 4 games. 3.6 in reality, but I guess they just round it up.

Georgia fans putting false numbers out there I guess.

Would you expect any less?

Doesnt matter. They have a freshman in Nick Chubb that looks every bit as good as Gurley.

Does that mean he could come in the 4th quarter and take a screen pass for a 70 yard TD to win the game for them......sound familiar ?

Not imo. Missouri was actually containing him some (they were stacking the line however) but they just kept turning the ball back over to Georgia. He had a lot of yards that game but his per carry average probably wasn't that high. He isn't the home run threat Gurley is.

He doesn't have the breakaway speed, but has the power and durability to hammer it over and over. Gonna be a looooong second half more than likely.

Glad he wont be back there to return kick offs from us also!

Possibly - hopefully we hold up better than we did against LSU when they just kept running it.

Why is it going to be a long second half, they said he was out two more games and won't be playing in ours?? :shake:

Winston and Williams are full GO per Jimbo...

sleep well Jimbo?

One of Jimbo's boys could be on trial for murder, and they would let him play until the guilty verdict came in and the slapped the hand cuffs on him. And if he was not a QB or receiver they may let him play with the cuffs on.

Because they still have Chubbs. He is a workhorse type back.

I think he was talking about Chubb. How he isn't the home run threat Gurley is. But that Chub just keeps hammering away...

Of course, should we win (and we've won more times as the underdog in the past 30 or so years than they have as the underdog), the Puppies will naturally blame it on the NCAA and no Gurley.

why not just give them 5 years and drop the red shirt? it's semi-pro now, what's another year... https://www.espn.com/college-footba...s-vote-unanimously-adjust-sport-redshirt-rule

I think its cool now that black coaches like Tomlin can become retreads like the old days. Used to be they would hire an old coach over and over before a Tomlin got a chance..............Does Cignetti get some attention by the NFL. Anyone watching the Oklahoma game tonight

Tomlin may just take one year off before coaching again
  • gatordad3 gatordad3:
Would this require negotiations since Tomlin had another year on his contract?
