How many of you have the end of the meatchicken game on your DVR?

Got home from a trip yesterday and went to rematch the game. I had forgotten that the Michigan game had gone long and therefor the first ten minutes or so of my recording was the end of that game. I had a little guilty pleasure watching the whole sequence unfold rather than just the highlight of the failed punt. Good times!

On another note, totally frustrating how ESPN schedules all of their games into a 3 hour slot, knowing full well that it's going to overlap the following game. I guess I'll have to remember to set my DVR for 30 minutes of ESPN news if I'm going to record the whole game.

Actually, if you're not going to watch the recording right away it's better to record the replay that happens in the early a.m.

I've been watching several games on delay the past few years - either because of weekends in the woods (thanks Muschamp), or because I can't seem to get the meat off the grill in time for kickoff. One tenant is to go into the recording options and extend the "stop time" by an hour because it always runs over.

To answer your question, I did have that ending recorded and got my money's worth.

If y'all would stop filling your DVRs with GOT then you'd have space to record the live instance AND the early a.m. instance. :exactly:

That way, you'd be able to see the thrilling end of a worthless game (Mich St @ Mich) and the UF game in its entirety.

Was recording it live, knowing we'd pause at halftime to put the kids to bed and can FF thru the 3rd qtr commercials. This has become habit for night games.

Watching live, I was livid that MICH had the game in hand and ESPN should switch. I couldn't find ESPNEWS on my DirecTV listing to watch our game and only saw the 7-0 score in the corner. Though, hating MICH as I do, I was tickled to watch the last play. And, despite my b1tching, I knew that ESPN couldn't switch coverage just in case of something like this. Though, it still irritated me.

Haven't gone back to watch the MSU win, nor have I used the DVR to watch any of our game later in the week. I typically use my tablet and WatchESPN to get a replay of our game while on the treadmill.

Just so you know in the future, all the ESPN channels are together on DirecTV.

ESPN: Channel 206
ESPNews: Channel 207
ESPNU: Channel 208
ESPN2: Channel 209

I don't want you fumbling through channels next time trying to find ESPNews.

My wife and I were watching it live and starting jumping around and yelling cheers at the TV, even though we didn't care who won. I thought it was the most incredible ending since the Auburn/Alabama FG debacle. I can't imagine what it feels like to lose like that.

I dunno man. Imagine losing a game in that fashion to UT, UGA, or FSU. Imagine it. I might keel over.

I watched a riveting documentary on U.S. dogfights with Japanese and German air-fighters. One of our pilots was flying
escort to bombers. On the return German fighters intercepted. Since the Germans "chased' our fighter planes to shoot
them down. The U.S.fighter pilots peeled off detail to do battle. This one U.S.pilot was attacked by a formation of seven
Germans. The film and storyline showed our pilot (+ plane design) "suckering" the Germans with loops and rolls and
shot down 6 of the 7, leaving just one which then engaged. Those two battled long and hard, straining each's skill and
machinery. The German pilot caught ours and shot him by spraying his cockpit, that spray also knock out ours' ability
to fire his guns = he was toast. Just then the German fighter pulled up alongside looked at our pilot, saluted him,
waved his wings and flew away.

Remembering the #s on the planeside, our pilot safely at home base was informed that he had a dogfight, a salute, and
a "so-long" wave from the Red Baron.
