That's pretty funny about the Holiday Inn Express. But I think that's pushing it on Shannon being a first year coach. I like the sunshine though :).

Thanks ... note that I said 1st year coach like Mac -- meaning new home, new positioning for SEC, totally
new at recruiting using honesty, etc. ;)

I look at it like this. Maybe Shannon was looking at the fact that although he was overrunning some plays, he was forcing the play to others that make the play. Is that not what a LB Coach wants? If you don't make the play make them change their direction so someone else can?
Plus I really like his maturity and seeing his faults. That is a sign of greatness IMHO.
