Meyer didn't have to give Tim a spot in camp at all. Certainly no one else would have.

I agree. But why even use a space to bring Tebow in? He opened the door then slammed it in his face before he had a chance. Urban was either completely disingenuous from the start or simply caved to the critics. With friends like Meyer who needs enemies.

Because Rex Ryan promised Tim a real shot at being the backup quarterback. No other team according to interviews Tim did, was really willing to give him the shot to be the #2 guy.
That's right. Tim looked at Sanchez as someone he could beat out.

But I sure wish he ended up in Jacksonville at 24 or 25 years old he would have been much better than those stiff quarterbacks they had who had no clutch gene.

I don't get it. I don't get what Urban did and I'm disappointed with him. When they were waiting about a week to sign Tebow back in the offseason as a TE Urban should have just said Tim we're going to pull the plug on this unless you come in trying to be a third string quarterback and a short yardage situational player.

Hopefully Tim helped clean up the locker room and show some leadership that some of the younger guys can latch onto.

The irony here is that we bitch about Mullen not having Meyer and Saban’s killer instinct by keeping his buddies on staff.

Here, Meyer acts exactly as so many on here expect, envy, and wish Mullen acted.

Because it’s Tebow, so many on here can’t see past Tim’s pain of being cut to still respect that Meyer did what he always does: position his team for the beat chance to win.

He gave Tebow a shot, but saw him practice and play. Then he made the tough call even though he cares about Tim.

Wish Mullen would do the same.

There's no inconsistency between saying I wish Tebow had been given more of an opportunity than a handful of snaps in one preseason game, and saying I wish Mullen would fire coordinators or assistants who have a well-established record of sucking ass.

The only “jersey assurance” there is,
and has ever been, is that if you’re over the age of 17 and wearing an NFL jersey, you’re almost assuredly a toolbag.

My sentiments exactly.
How gay is it for a grown man to walk around wearing another man’s name all over him?

Agree GGG...it worked well in N.O.

I think Urban got WOKED. Too much pressure. I could not believe how many were against the move.

And the giddiness when he failed really caught me off guard.

I think Urban caved under pressure. MSM was intense.

You must have a much more favorable impression of the media than I do. I was surprised that the giddiness wasn’t even worse.

The hatred spewed from people like Stephen A. was palpable. I doubt Stephen A. could muster up this much hate for any mass murderer or serial rapist if he had to and this was before Tim was let go

Clean up an NFL locker room? Really?

It would take a locker room full of Tim Tebow’s to accomplish this.

I have no problem with what Urban did, while I believe if you are going to try to make him a tight end then you have to at least allow him the opportunity to play at that position through the first cut (which this was 90-80 man roster). But if you truly were giving him a shot at being the 45-53 man on the roster he should be on special teams. And the fact he wasn't told you exactly what this was... Jacksonville/Fanatics made it's money, jersey assurance only gives you store credit back for another jersey.

Was this rhetorical or are you actually looking for an answer as to where it falls on the gay scale?

If the latter, I’d say somewhere between having your own show on Bravo and Sas searching for gay porn gifs as a “joke”.

Wearing a cap with a team's logo on it is cool: Wearing a jersey with a guy's name one it is lame.
If you bought a Tebow Jag jersey, just keep it as a memento. Walking around in it will subject
you to ridicule and snide comments!

Guess it's time to dust off those old black high tops from high school.

Kid on the left’s face says “yeah I’ll pretend”. Kid on the right’s face says “yeesh at those guns”. Kid lower left(#23)’s face says “according to the chat box yesterday, in the 60s, what I’m thinking would mean something different.”
