The even-handled Goodell at his best.
Convicted of murder? 3 games suspension.
More than likely you're generally aware that someone may or may not have let some air out of some footballs? 4 games m'fer!

As I say with the Domestic Violence issue, the NFL isn't the state/federal law. The balls were on the field of play, the other stuff off of it. Though I find 4 games extreme, you can't compare it with legal matters. They are apples and oranges. There is a reason that a first time recreational drug offense is counciling, and a first time performance enhancing drug offense is 4 games. The league's job isn't to punish plays for breaking the law, and except is specified in the CBA.

Having a convicted murderer on the field after a 3 game suspension wouldn't hurt the integrity of the game? Got it!

So should the league punish everyone convicted of anything? Is Hernandez going to be on a roster anytime in the next 30 years? I get you don't like Goddell, but when did the NFL CBA become the answer for the court system? I guess Ray Rice deserved only 2 games, because he wasn't convicted. Or maybe he deserved less in your eyes because he wasn't convicted.

The league already punishes players for convictions of damn near anything. I really don't expect you to be able to see the light with Roger's sack blocking your view.

MJM, I'm glad you are mature and actually can look at things rationally. When you get out of recess we can have an adult conversation. First realize that Justice and the CBA are two vastly different things. And if you think that players are punished for every conviction, I have some beach front property in Montana to sell you.

Yes, there's no question Meyer was a direct influence on this crime. He should be arrested, too.

Don't forget, this isn't his first run-in with the law. He was also arrested on suspicion of throwing a sandwich at a Jimmy Johns.

Revenge porn + assault with a foot-long turkey is nothing to joke about.

Let's just hope he wasn't throwing that foot long at any children.

How are we still blaming the actions of grown men on their college coach? They have been professional athletes for half a decade. We should be like T Rex and blame it on the Patriot Organization.

Alright. I'll bite. Who blamed this on the coach?

Think he's referring to gardnerwebb's post on the first page. I was a little taken back myself. He's usually pretty balanced on these matters.

Clearly, murderers are good for the game.

Yeah, everything gardnerwebb has to say on Urban Meyer typically gets taken to the uncomfortably psychotic level (gang rape, anyone?). Best to take his stances on UM with a grain of salt.

What's he accused of doing? Uploading Deep Throat to youtube and telling her "There! Take That!".
