An official scholarship offer letter is a special document for a high school football player to receive. We’ve seen a number of different looking letters today, which opens the period in which schools can officially offer recruits, but Florida has the first gaffe that we’ve noticed. Five-star wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers, an uncommitted player out of Tampa, has received a number of letters today, including one from the Gators which promotes UF receiver greats Percy Harvin and “Cris Collingsworth.†That is, of course, a misspelling for former Florida wide receiver and current NFL broadcaster Cris Collinsworth. GameDayr picked up on the error. It’s a minor error, but one would hope that a big program like Florida would get a few pairs of eyes on something as important as a scholarship offer letter to make sure everything is perfect.
