I think they redshirted him because he wasn't prepared physically. Apparently he is a solid shooter and if that's the case you gotta wonder what kind of impact he could have made last year..

My guess on why they redshirted Stone is that with Finney-Smith, Robinson, Murphy and Leon there were no minutes for him. So I too am cautiously optimistic about him becoming a contributor.

As far as the clip above goes, in the SEC you generally see better help side defense than that. I would be more encouraged seeing him hitting a mid range jumper.
