Did the article make it sound like the rift was Bell's strong desire for JU
to become a football scholarship school vs JU's desire to stay non-scholly ?
Hope Kerwin starts on the road to serious CFB programs.

He'll be successful where he goes. We should bring him in as the QB coach, then when nussie leaves he can move up to OC

Good time to put yourself on the market with all the openings right now. Bet he ends up at a lower tier D1 school as HC.

He may have to join a teams support staff if he wants a gig in a power 5 conference.

Sounds good to me. I think Kerwin will be successful on the FBS level if he can latch on with a school. I remember hearing a rumor that he didn't want to take a job as a position coach as that was too much of a step down from being a HC at a small school. Not sure if that is true but now that he doesn't have a job, maybe he'd be more inclined to go the position coach route. Personally, I think he would move up pretty quickly regardless.

Read a long Times-Union article on it earlier before this was a definite. It's, basically, about money.

Jerry Odom is on staff, too, and their contracts are yearly. Merry Christmas and try not to stress.

It's weird being the Time-Union also stated it wasn't about money, about how the AD/President wanted to stay Non-Scholarship and Bell wanted to go to a Scholarship model.

Well - technically that's about money, no? Someone pays for those scholarship athletes.
