Horrible penalty call leading to the islanders first goal. Glad to see the bolts winning fights as well as the game.

The refs had a horrible game and it all seemed to go the Isle's way. Yeah, we had too many on the ice for the 2nd goal...whatever, I saw several times the Isles had too many on the ice too. Dude spit in Cirellis face at the end. Lots of slashes by them not called. That was frustrating. We still played like crap but it was a little better.

Montreal - Vegas was pretty good tonite. 3-2 Vegas had a lot of chances late but couldn't tie it. Series is now 1-1.
They said it was 115* outside in Vegas today.
Sanford's Tim 'Rock' Raines was there cheering for Montreal.
Right after the game I saw a very cool commercial for the Olympics featuring Caleb Dressel and a Gator image in the pool.

Bolts on their way to letting the Isles tie this. I still feel like something is broken with this TB team. They are too inconsistent. Isles in 7

come on born...its the division championship. Its not going to be easy. Its the two best teams on that side of the bracket. The isles remind me of the bolts two years ago. They got a lot of great young players that are starting to really gel. I give the isles a lot more credit than you dumping on the bolts. Also, Barry Trotz, he knows what he is doing. I still got a lot of faith in the bolts pulling this out.

Born always posts like this. If his team loses it’s always because of the refs or some catastrophic failure of the team. Never because the other team might be really good and just beat them.
Speaking of the game, what a comeback in the 3rd. And what an incredible shot by McDonough and equally incredible save by the Isles at the end of regulation.
Lightning will take this at home.

I think we are the overall deeper team but the isles have plenty to work with. They did a great job of blocking shots and the ones that got through Varlamov handled the rest. In fact, Varlamov is playing friggin incredible and keeping the isles in this. Goal tending is what gets teams to the cup and though I hate to say it, Varlmov is in a zone right now. The goals he allowed in game 4 is on his teammates and not him.
Same thing is going on with the other game...Vegas is losing and the Habs are winning because of it.

So were the panthers. So were the hurricanes. Seems when the bolts get up big on anyone their opponents start trying to hurt them. Maybe that's any hockey blowout though
