This is a pretty big deal. He supposedly sent out communication to his coaching staff to un-follow any gator media that is criticizing him.

They said that this move means his coaching tenure here is coming to an end. They said this is a common denominator that happens with all coaching staffs that are failing. They referred to it as circling the wagons.

This is a pretty startling rebuke of him.

(it looks like it will not show a still shot of the YouTube video. Just click the link to watch it on YouTube.)

Yawn. None of this matters. He has another shot this season - he'll either make a move or be shown the door.

Saban retired to get away from Bama so he could come here when Napier is fired.

You're right that he'll get another year no matter what; but let's say he goes 9-3 and keeps his job...this move is a bit short-sided to be burning bridges with the local press.

He wont ever get close to 8 wins in one season, eapecially without 3 cupcakes in the schedule ala Mullen.

The worst Gators coach in 80 years, by a wide margin.
We are better at every position from last year, with an increase in talented depth. Your wishful thinking of 0 to 3 wins ain't gonna happen.

good heart, good intentions, showed more desire than that last lazy bum, but at the end of the day, he can't walk the walk, doesn't have what is needed to lift a program like UF back to prominence. Not as good as he thinks he is... he might one day be a good Power 5 coach, but the constant mistakes, the stubbornness of sticking with assistants that weren't cutting it along with questionable play calling shows he needed more time as a HC back in the Sun Belt,

If he wins, those bootlickers will immediately return to kissing his ass, and you know it. Napier does too. Our "local press" is an embarrassment and always has been, even in the championship seasons. Hell, Pat Dooley was the face of Gator journalism for YEARS. Ouch.

8 wins and he’s given a contract extension.

He’d have to do do 3x the coaching job he’s done to date to achieve that, so it ain’t happening.

I thought he meant UCF is going 8-4....Seriously though if he embarrasses us in front of a sellout crowd at home to them he's done....no if's, ands, or buts...he's toast.

I didn't think I was gonna be able to make it to the 45:24 mark, when they took up the unfollow subject, which, to quote Moulton, "sounds very small. It screams he and his staff are not up to the job." Agree.

Napier apparently even outdid himself, describing Ron Roberts as having been brought in to "coach the coaches." Ali Peek, in her best cringe imitation, attempted to show what it was like in the room with Napier as he said that.

I don't know who's the greater embarrassment, low-IQ Billy or the bigwigs at the UAA who continue to sponsor this huge charade. Nobody's happy.

Doering summed it up. "We're also-rans." Ouch.
