Meh, the 2nd half for us was bad as Nebraska curb stomped us but IIRC we were close (within 10) about 3 mins before the half.

However, Oklahoma looked over matched from the start to the finish and only made progress against 2nd stringers.

One of the craziest stats from that game: we actually led after the first quarter. It was Q2 that just started falling apart for us.

And ltraz is correct on LSU’s defense. Someone was mentioning this on the radio a few weeks back, that the offensive install was so massive that it took the majority of practice time. So in the off season and early on, the defense wasn’t getting comparable reps. Obviously as the offense has become more comfortable, they’ve been able to balance things out focus more on the other side. So it’s not really that they were ever terrible. Just unprepared, which explains their improvement. Credit to EO for not only the overhaul, but being willing to gamble with practice time to actually make sure it works. I never saw that in him.
