you are correct. For the same reason the Rose Bowl and Mich. stadium can't be as loud as some of the lesser capacity stadiums.

With that said, when I saw the thread title I thought it was going to be what I mentioned to a friend of mine last nite. That Malzahn was finally making a QB change. They have only lost 2 tough road games. Don't get me wrong I think Nix is okay for a frosh and can be good, but Malzahn's high school sideways BS only goes if the run game is rolling and partly b/c he has a good and big threat at QB. Both Newton and their QB when they lost to the :nole::nole: were excellent runners. Nix is okay as a scrambler or on deception runs, but in designed runs, AU has a QB on the pine they recruited who fits what Malzahn really likes to do.

SQ and I were saying that during our game out there. It was definitely loud, but the Auburn game the week before was absolutely louder. Their north endzone doesn't have an upper deck, which probably helps some of the sound escape. There's nowhere for the sound to go but down at the Swamp.

It's three factors.

How close the stands are to the field.

The enclosure.

The pitch of the enclosure.

Maybe a fourth. How much your fans put into it.

We've got it all going.

Don't get it.
Pat Dooley writes one sentence paragraphs.

It's his style.

It makes no sense and takes up way too much space on the screen.

But it's great for pretending you're having a bunch of mic drop moments back to back.

In reality it's just really corny and forced.
