BTW, no sarcasm intended. I actually started a thread in the other forum before seeing this one. I would not have started one if I saw this one first, but I looked in the recruiting forum.

I have no idea why there is a recruiting forum. If something gets put in there, no one will ever see it. Plus all the threads eventually become "Treon sucks" threads, which then turn to "We need to sign xxxx" threads.

It's because I begged for it. Under GSMB anytime a thread on recruiting went on the main forum it got trashed by haters. I think the chump years changed that and now (at least on chatter) most posters have a vested interest in recruiting so recruiting threads are pretty big on the main forum. Once we replenish our depth, recruiting might take a back seat and people may lose interest so it may not be big on the main forum again.
In the meantime, I routinely move recruiting threads to the recruiting forum once they've run their course.

like means agree....I didn't even know thre was a recruiting forum and it looks like no one else does either...but J seems to be handling it properly unlike you, the banner, and Nav, the merger....

So it's the other dungeon? Who hated? The nonrevenue sports lovers?
Id much rather see a forum just for gymnastic, tiddlywinks, badminton, spelling bee, basketball and all the other nonrevenue sportsrather than that weird 2nd dungeon.

As a glutton for punishment I ended up watching the SEC championship game with a bunch of bama fans. I joked with them and told them that if Henry didn't go in the 1st round of the draft he'd have to return to bama for another year to avoid taking a pay cut.
Thing is, I think most of them know the program is dirty and little nicky is getting away with paying players but they just laugh it off and say, "yeah, yeah, whatever it takes." None of them seem at all concerned that the NCAA will catch them. Their trust in Nick it cult like.

There seems to be a bullet proof wall between Bama and the NCAA. Not sure when the contract was drawn up, but it's still firmly in place. They NEVER get called for holding, and there's no doubt plenty of reasons for investigation have been given over the years, yet it just never happens.
I'll tell ya another thing. It's like Doug Dicky must've stolen the NCAA president's lunch money when they were kids, because ever since then, any time any little tiny hint of some infraction against us and the NCAA pounces on it. Even if it was before the athlete even landed on UF soil, they still pounce on it like it was mass murder. I've never seen anything quite like it.

I can t prove it, but Bama is the program that rakes in the most money, publicity, and attention for the SEC. The Commish of the SEC or NCAA infractions commitie
would be crazy to stand by and see Bama get the Death Penelty for a infraction. Bama almost got it for the "Big Al Means Sweepstakes", but even with sanctions Bama was back in business 3 years later. Thats why we get drilled any time we get too good, because in the eyes of the powers that be in Atlanta, and South Bend, Fla thats too good threatens the established order of football. A sick line of thinking but thats what it looks like to me. I doubt we get this kicker and just hope Mac has a good plan B. I m not too hopeful at QB either, and I d be glad to be proven wrong. Sorry folks, no orange and blue glasses this morning at 508am in the morning in Augsburg Germany.
